Judgement

In all Jurisdictions, where the case is undefended, Judgement is obtained from the court office following the lodgement of an affidavit of debt, which is sworn by you. In the District Court, an affidavit is valid for ten days once sworn, in the Circuit Court it is valid for fourteen days, and in the High Court one month.

Once the papers are lodged in the court office, and checked by the court officials, Judgement is issued. When Judgement is granted, statutory interest is applied to the account at the rate of 8% per annum.

There are various options open to you to enforce the Judgement. These vary depending on whether the debtor is a Limited Company or an individual.
Enforcement of the Judgement is very often the most critical part of the collection process.
